Here at Pistonheads we like a car that divides opinion, and this Alfa certainly does.
Taking a classic car like an Alfa GTV and adding the words ‘modern interpretation’ is always going to have purists coughing into their cappuccino, but here it is.
Designed by ‘Racer X Design’, a company based in Malta, the GTV Evoluzione took three years to build and was based on a scrap donor vehicle.
The car was designed by Reuben Zammit and built by Jean Paul Pisani who used metal sheets instead of fibreglass.
The front and back of the vehicle were chopped off and totally re-built, then the track was widened by 8” on the front and 9” at the back.
The wheels are a one-off design created in house.
The car was fitted with a 3.0 litre 24v V6 Alfa engine, 300mm vented discs and the whole suspension was overhauled.
Racer X Design said the car was ‘designed with the aim to capture the Alfa spirit, the final result transfers passion to anyone lucky enough to see this unique car in person.’
